The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house which has a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family income isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle website is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
